Ever since this country called Nigeria came into existence she has in one way or the other witnessed chaos, disorderliness, rancorous and rowdy political atmosphere. Although the intention of putting up a piece like this is not just to show and portray how dangerous tribalism could be but it is aimed at finding a lasting solution to all manner of hatred, violence and acrimony which are all products of tribalism.
First and foremost I would start by highlighting some examples of how some of our illustrious personalities has co-existed and related to one another in peace, harmony and tranquility. I mean to say people like Rochas okorocha, late aguiyi ironsi and later Dr. Nnamdi azikiwe were all brought up not in their hometown but in places of Northern extraction and people of that calibre would always tell you how peaceful it is to live in the north. It's very difficult to see great personalities like this berating a hausa man, calling them all sorts of names that are derogatory or subjecting them to item of ridicule and mockery. History would never forget how the emir of kano Sanusi lamido Sanusi worked tirelessly, effortlessly and ceaselessly in his youthful age to see another man from the south west zone in person of M.k.o Abiola emerges as the winner of the June12 1993 general election which is considered the most peaceful and forest election in the anals of our political history. I wonder how this could be possible if the likes of Sanusi was a tribal jingoist and bigot. Let me even come down to the modern day Nigeria where the likes of Rochas okorocha has through his Rochas foundation established free primary and secondary education not only in his region but in all the geo-political zone like the east, West and the North. If we have philanthropist like this in all the Federation the issue of education wouldn't be an issue but to my dismay what we
